Chicky's Delivery Service is a bite-sized web platformer made for the Ludum Dare 46 game jam. Despite its simplicity, it offers a modest cognitive workout: players must read the environment, solve light spatial puzzles by repositioning obstacles with the arrow keys, and develop a feel for timing and hand-eye coordination. The core loop of figuring out how to move obstacles to clear a path engages basic problem-solving and spatial reasoning, and the incremental level design encourages learning transfer from one obstacle type to the next. Because sessions are short and self-contained, the game is low-stress and well-suited for a quick, screen-time-conscious play break.
Design risks
| R1 | Dopamine pressure | 0.10 | |
| R2 | Monetization | 0.00 | |
| R3 | Social risk | 0.00 | |
The risk profile of this game is exceptionally low. There are no monetization mechanics of any kind — no ads, microtransactions, loot boxes, or subscriptions — and no social features that could expose a child to strangers or toxic competition. The only mild dopamine hooks present are the natural frustration-and-retry loop inherent to platformers (near-miss moments, escalating obstacle placement) and light loss aversion when a run fails. These are standard, age-appropriate game-design elements rather than manipulative dark patterns. Content is entirely benign.
