Set session limits around natural mission end-points, and consider playing through the story together with teens to discuss the ethical framing of the mercenary narrative and the depiction of the indigenous characters.

Bechdel Test? The Bechdel Test checks whether a game has at least two named female characters who talk to each other about something other than a man. A simple measure of representation.— Fails the test
Kade is a notable female character but she primarily exists to hire the male protagonist Jack, and there is no meaningful dialogue between two named female characters.
Parent Pro-Tip
Playing alongside your teen opens conversation about how video games construct heroes and villains, and lets you highlight the genuine skill-building in spatial navigation and quick decision-making that the game provides.
What your child develops
Far Cry Instincts: Evolution is a first-person shooter that offers moderate cognitive engagement through navigation of open-ish tropical environments, enemy-encounter problem solving, and tactical use of Jack's feral abilities. Players must read the battlefield, manage resources like weapons and health, and adapt to escalating enemy types. The game's level design rewards spatial awareness and situational planning. Hand-eye coordination and reaction time are meaningfully exercised, consistent with the shooter genre.
