Good
FIFA 13 is a sports simulation that builds strategic thinking and problem solving through team management and gameplay, with mild social comparison risks.
Bundled online — know the live-service layer
Career Mode and Player Career are fully offline with no spending pressure — an excellent football management and player development experience. Ultimate Team (FUT) is a separate mode using FIFA/FC Points (real money) and card packs with heavy FOMO and seasonal spending pressure targeted at children. To keep the experience family-friendly, play Career Mode only and disable Ultimate Team purchases through EA's parental controls or your console's spending limits.

FIFA 13's Career Mode offers engaging gameplay that can enhance strategic thinking, hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving skills. Players manage a football club, making decisions about transfers, tactics, and player development. The game can also foster teamwork and communication skills when played with friends locally. The game provides a sense of achievement through season progression and winning trophies.
Design risks
| R1 | Dopamine pressure | 0.07 | |
| R2 | Monetization | 0.00 | |
| R3 | Social risk | 0.17 | |
The primary risks in FIFA 13's Career Mode are related to potential competitive toxicity in local multiplayer and mild social comparison as players strive to build the best team or achieve the most success. While the game itself has no direct monetization, the presence of the Ultimate Team mode (not scored here) within the same title can create confusion and expose players to monetization mechanics if not managed by parents. The game contains mild cartoon violence in the form of tackles and fouls.
