Parent Pro-Tip
Before your child plays, try asking them to describe the fastest route through a level *before* they run it — then see how close their plan matched reality.

Representation? How diverse the game's characters are in gender and ethnicity. Higher = more authentic representation. Display only — does not affect time recommendation.
Bechdel Test? The Bechdel Test checks whether a game has at least two named female characters who talk to each other about something other than a man. A simple measure of representation.— N/A — no named characters
The game is a 2D platformer with minimal narrative and no meaningful character dialogue, making the Bechdel test not applicable.
Parent Pro-Tip
This simple habit activates metacognitive planning and learning transfer. It encourages children to think strategically rather than reactively, turning a fun platformer into a mini lesson in hypothesis-testing and spatial reasoning.
What your child develops
Go Kinok Go! is a charming 2D side-scrolling platformer with genuine cognitive and motor benefits for children. The game's puzzle elements encourage active problem-solving and spatial reasoning as players navigate hand-drawn environments. The signature speed-gauge and bullet-mode mechanic introduces a layer of strategic thinking — rewarding continuous movement and route planning — that echoes the satisfying mastery loop found in classic platformers. Speedrunning mechanics foster learning transfer and adaptive challenge, as players must internalize level layouts and experiment with different paths to optimise performance. Fine motor skills and reaction time are meaningfully exercised through precise jump timing and navigation. Perhaps most notably, this is a passion project released for free out of love for the craft, carrying an authentic creative spirit that is rare in modern gaming.

About this game
Story of a forgotten Game: Go Kinok Go was completed in 2012, but never released, forgotten for 8 years. When we completed the development of the game, we were contacted by a publisher who wanted to buy the IP and publish it domestically in Iran.
