by Hexagon Development Community
"Evade is a fast-paced horror-themed action parkour game on Roblox where up to 15 players cooperate to survive AI-controlled Nextbot enemies using movement, timing, and teamwork."
What your child develops
What your child develops
Evade genuinely rewards spatial awareness, quick decision-making, and reading the environment under pressure — skills that transfer well to reaction-time and strategic thinking. The cooperative survival format encourages real teamwork: players who communicate and coordinate last longer, giving the social dimension genuine weight. The parkour movement system has enough depth that skilled play feels meaningfully earned.
What to watch out for
What to watch out for
The experience features seasonal events tied to exclusive UGC items, which creates mild FOMO-driven monetization pressure and rewards returning players who spend. With up to 15 players per server and standard Roblox text chat, exposure to unknown adults is present by design. The horror genre includes flashing lights and loud sounds (noted in the description), which may be overstimulating for younger or more sensitive children.
Parent tip
Play a round alongside your child to get a feel for the pace and chat, then ask them to show you their favourite escape route — it's a great way to see the spatial reasoning and planning they're developing in action.

Bottom line first
By default, Roblox allows unfiltered chat and friend requests from strangers. Enable Account Restrictions immediately — it takes 2 minutes and makes the platform significantly safer for children under 13.
Roblox is a platform of 40 million+ user-made games, not a single game. Quality, safety, and age-appropriateness vary dramatically between experiences. The LumiKin ratings above reflect individual experiences — the platform itself does not guarantee safety.
Robux is the in-game currency used across most popular experiences. Many games are designed around Robux spending — pay-to-win mechanics, exclusive cosmetics, and social comparison of avatar items are common. Set a clear spending policy before your child encounters the first purchase prompt.
The chat filter is imperfect. Children regularly find workarounds (number substitutions, deliberate misspellings). Monitor chat history periodically using the Parent PIN tools, and have an open conversation about what to do if someone says something uncomfortable.
Action: Roblox settings → Privacy → Account Restrictions (ON). This restricts chat, friend requests, and game access to a pre-screened age-appropriate set. Set a Parent PIN to prevent your child from disabling it.
