To-Fu: The Trials of Chi is a puzzle-platformer that strongly engages cognitive skills. Players will develop problem-solving, spatial awareness, strategic thinking, and critical thinking as they navigate 190 unique levels filled with traps and mechanisms. The game also fosters learning transfer and adaptive challenge as new obstacles are introduced. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are also exercised through its unique touch controls.
Design risks
| R1 | Dopamine pressure | 0.03 | |
| R2 | Monetization | 0.25 | |
| R3 | Social risk | 0.06 | |
The game presents mild monetization risks, including in-app purchases to unlock all trials and remove advertisements, which can create some ad pressure. While there's no stranger chat, Game Center achievements could introduce a minor element of social comparison. Content risks are minimal, with only cartoon-like 'deaths' from booby traps.
