The Killer role adds a layer of strategic thinking, as players must anticipate opponent movement and adapt on the fly. Its match-based structure gives every round a clear beginning and end, making wins feel earned.

The asymmetric Killer vs. Survivor format can foster competitive frustration and rank-shaming behaviour between players, especially in open servers with strangers. With up to 9 players per server and standard text chat, children will routinely interact with unknown adults. The quest and character unlock system (e.g. Jane Doe) creates a mild progression loop that encourages repeated sessions, and the epilepsy warning flags intense audio-visual stimulation as a real concern for some children.
